Audi Unveils 1,001 HP Nuvolari, Its Fastest and Most Powerful Production Car Ever

Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari, its first-ever supercar powered by a high-performance hybrid drivetrain, marking a major step forward in the brand’s technological evolution. Limited to just 499 units, the model is scheduled to enter production in the first half of 2027.

With a combined output of 1,001 horsepower and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h, the Nuvolari becomes the fastest and most powerful production vehicle in Audi’s history. The supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.

The powertrain combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 800 hp with three electric motors, creating a total system output of 736 kW (1,001 hp). Audi says the vehicle incorporates multiple technologies inspired by Formula 1, including advanced energy management, active aerodynamics, and predictive all-wheel-drive systems.

According to Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, the Nuvolari demonstrates the company’s commitment to accelerating technological progress through innovation, performance, and engineering excellence. Audi CTO Rouven Mohr added that Formula 1 serves as an important platform for transferring advanced technologies from motorsport to production vehicles.

The supercar introduces Audi’s next-generation design philosophy, featuring a carbon-fiber exterior, lightweight Audi Space Frame architecture, active rear wing, and advanced aerodynamic systems designed to maximize performance and stability at high speeds.

Inside, the Nuvolari adopts a driver-focused cockpit with lightweight carbon-fiber seats, a minimalist layout, and a digital interface designed to keep the driver’s attention on the road.

Audi says the Nuvolari represents a new chapter for the brand, combining electrification, motorsport technology, and supercar performance in a limited-production model aimed at setting new benchmarks for the company’s future high-performance vehicles.
