The Magnite represents Nissan’s commitment to its global strategy, termed “One Car, One World.” Built in Chennai, India, the new left-hand drive version will be exported to over 65 markets, reinforcing Nissan’s focus on expanding its footprint in key regions.

Guillaume Cartier, Chairperson of Nissan AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania), emphasized the significance of this launch. He stated that while the Magnite has already found success in India, the introduction of the left-hand drive variant marks a pivotal moment for Nissan’s growth strategy. This move transforms India into an export hub, allowing the Magnite to reach markets like South Africa and Saudi Arabia.

The Magnite’s striking design is complemented by advanced technology, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers. The SUV is equipped with a digital TFT driver display and convenient features like wireless smartphone charging, USB ports, and adjustable ambient lighting. With reinforced structural integrity and advanced safety features, the Magnite ensures peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.

Powered by an advanced 1.0-liter turbocharged engine, the Magnite offers a choice between a manual transmission and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), delivering an impressive balance of performance and fuel efficiency. With a compact footprint under four meters, the Magnite can comfortably accommodate five passengers, making it ideal for urban environments. The innovative Around View Monitor provides a bird’s-eye view, easing parking in tight spaces.

Since its launch in December 2020, the Magnite has sold over 150,000 units globally. The production expansion for left-hand drive markets will begin in 2025, with expectations to reach nearly 100,000 units in total by 2026. Nissan’s Chennai facility, dedicated exclusively to Nissan and its partners, has already exported over 1.2 million vehicles since 2010.

As part of its sustainability goals, Nissan aims for carbon-neutral operations by 2025, with over 75% of its energy sourced from renewables. The plant plans to expand its solar capacity to achieve 100% renewable energy usage by 2045, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability while meeting the growing global demand for the Magnite.
