Kia EV3 Named Crossover of the Year at 2024 TopGear.com Awards
- Fourth Consecutive TopGear Award for Kia
- Kia EV3 Praised for Design, Range, and Practicality
- Continues Kia’s Winning Streak in the EV Segment
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 27, 2024 – The Kia EV3 has earned the coveted title of ‘Crossover of the Year’ at the 2024 TopGear.com Awards. The ceremony, held last night at White City House in London, marks Kia’s fourth consecutive win at the prestigious event.
Blending compact crossover dimensions with a spacious and practical interior, the EV3 impressed judges with its innovative design and performance. Kia’s success at the awards continues a legacy built by its predecessors: the Kia EV9, which won ‘Family Car of the Year’ in 2023, and the Kia EV6, which secured ‘Crossover of the Year’ in 2021. The brand also claimed the title of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ in 2022.
Expert Praise
Jack Rix, Editor-in-Chief of TopGear Magazine, highlighted the EV3’s standout features:
“In a world increasingly awash with mid-size electric crossovers, the EV3 sets itself apart with a design that stays just the right side of radical, a spacious and upmarket interior, and the sort of range figures that erode the argument for not going EV. It builds on the brilliance of EV9 and EV6 and keeps Kia’s remarkable run of form rolling.”
Kia’s Vision
Ho Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia, underscored the significance of the award:
“This award represents another milestone on Kia’s journey as a top-tier global EV brand and a leader in sustainable mobility solutions. In order to achieve this goal, it is imperative that we continue to push the boundaries of technology and design, creating functional yet emotive products that enhance our customers’ lives. We are honored by the recognition the EV3 has received so far, providing valued confirmation that the path we are on is the right one.”
A Standout in its Class
Despite being Kia’s most affordable EV, the EV3 boasts the longest range in the brand’s lineup, offering up to 375 miles on a single charge. The EV3 also comes with an extensive suite of standard features, even in the entry-level ‘Air’ trim, including:
- All-round LED lights and flush door handles
- Heated front seats and steering wheel
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability
- Triple driver display screens (12.3-inch touchscreen, 5.3-inch climate control, and 12.3-inch driver display)
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Seven years of free access to Kia Connect services
The EV3 is part of Kia’s ambitious ‘Plan S’ strategy, which aims to introduce 15 EV models globally by 2027, further solidifying the brand’s commitment to electrification and innovation.
