Polestar 4 SUV Coupé, the fastest and most eco-friendly model from the brand, is officially launched in the UAE

Dubai, UAE – 14 November 2024Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility (AFEM) introduced the Polestar 4 SUV coupé at the SEE Institute, located in The Sustainable City, Dubai—a hub for sustainability education and research.

The launch of the Polestar 4 marks a key milestone for Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, as the Swedish electric car brand expands from a one- to three-car lineup. With the Polestar 2 and the newly launched Polestar 4 now on UAE roads and the Polestar 3 arriving soon, the company continues to offer eco-conscious customers stylish, thrilling, and sustainable mobility options.

Design and Performance

The Polestar 4 features a blend of aerodynamic coupé styling and SUV space, boasting minimalist Scandinavian design. Innovations include a rear-window elimination for a unique rear passenger experience and a distinctive front light signature.

The vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency is optimized with features like a low front end, retractable door handles, frameless windows, and rear aero blades.

In terms of performance, the Polestar 4 is the fastest production car in the brand’s history, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The Long Range Dual Motor version delivers a powerful 400 kW (544 hp), while the Single Motor version offers 200 kW (272 hp) with a range of up to 620 km (WLTP).

Sustainability

The Polestar 4 leads the brand’s sustainability efforts, with the lowest carbon footprint at launch. It is manufactured using renewable energy sources like hydropower and solar electricity, alongside materials such as recycled aluminum and PET.

The Long Range Single Motor version boasts a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of just 19.9 tCO2e, while the Long Range Dual Motor version comes in at 21.4 tCO2e—significantly lower than the original Polestar 2, which had a footprint of 26.2 tCO2e. This reduction represents a 24% decrease in emissions compared to the first Polestar 2 model.
